1. What is a Learner’s License
It is an important official document issued by the RTO of respective states. It’s also called a temporary permit to learn how to drive a vehicle before you get a permanent driving license.
2. What are Eligibility Criteria For Learner’s License
To apply for a learner’s license, candidates must age 18 years or above for motorcycles with gear and 16 or above for motorcycles without gear with the parent’s consent.
3. Documents Required For a Learner’s License
In order to obtain a learner’s license, you have to provide some basic documents like Age proof and address proof.

Pan Card
Birth Certificate
10th Mark sheet
Transfer Certificate from any school
Passport
Address Proof:- (Any One)
Recent Electricity or Telephone bill
Aadhar card
Ration card

House Agreement
4. Application Fee For Learner’s License
In order to obtain a learner’s license, applicants have to pay an application fee of 200 rupees.
5. Validity Of a Learner’s License
A learner License has a validity period of 6 months.
6. How To Apply For Learner’s License
Step-1 :- Open any browser in your mobile or laptop and search for the official website www.parivahan.gov.in or click here to visit.
Step-2 :- click on Online services tab on top of the website and then click on Driving License related services from the drop down menu.
Step-3 :- Now you have to select your concerned state from the drop down menu. A list of services will appear on your screen. Now click on Apply For Learner Licence.
Step-4:- A set of instruction will show on your screen read them carefully and click on continue.
Step-5:- Now a form will appear on your screen fill all the required details carefully and upload the required documents and submit the application.
Step-6:- Now we will redirect to the payment page. Now pay the application fee shown on your screen. You can pay via credit card, debit card, net banking and bhim upi. After successful payment of application fee click on submit.
Step-7:- Now you have to book slot for LL test in your concerned RTO office.
