1. What Is Police Verification Certificate:-
Police Verification Certificate/Character certificate is a citizen service provided by the Odisha police.
2. Required Documents:-
In order to apply for a character certificate following documents are required
1. Recent passport size photo 1 pc
2. Identity Proof (Aadhar card, Pan Card, Voter Id card, etc.)
3. Address Proof (Aadhar card, Pan Card, Voter Id card, etc.)
3. Application Fee:-
There is an application fee of 50 rupees that has to be paid for the police verification certificate.
4. Time Taken For Completion:-
Generally, it takes 3 to 7 days to complete the process.
5. How To Apply:-
Step-1 (Registration)
To apply for a character certificate first of all you have to visit the official website of the Odisha police. official website:- Click Here
If you visit this website for the first time then you have to register in this portal.
in order to register Click on the Register button and enter the required details shown on the screen such as First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Mobile No, Email Id, Gender, Date Of Birth, Login Id, And Password. Remember the login id must be a unique one.
Step-2 (Apply)
Now login by providing the login id and password that you have created during the registration.
After that, an application form will appear on your screen providing all the required details in the form and proceed further then you have to tick the declaration form and proceed.
Step-3 (Documents)
In this section, you have to upload the documents in their respective fields. Remember the size of all the documents must be less than 100kb and in JPG/ JPEG format.
First, upload Identity Proof, then Address Proof and a passport Size Photo in their respective fields.
After that verify once again that all the details you entered are correct then click on submit button and the portal will redirect you to the payment page.
Step-4 (Payment)
After successful submission of the form, you have to pay 50 rupees as application fee through dabit card, credit card, net banking or via upi select your preferred payment method and pay the application fee.
After successful of payment a service request number will be generate note down SRN number for future use.
